Vinyl  has been around for decades and people have grown to trust it.  However, the vinyl of today has changed dramatically from what it used to be.  Today's products offer guarantees of up to 20 years and many are guaranteed not to rip or tear even while moving heavy appliances (proper moving procedures need to be followed).

 Newer to the market is the category of luxury vinyl tiles and planks.  These tiles & planks are installed using a full spread adhesive and can be installed on, above, or below grade.  The most common size for these tiles are 16" x 16", with some tiles being offered in 12" & 18" tile sizes.  These tiles can be grouted using a special formulated grout that is more flexible and stain resistant than traditional ceramic tile grout.  They are perfect for high traffic areas and also work very well in basements.  The luxury vinyl wood planks can also be used to give the look of real hardwood in areas where hardwood floors cannot be used, such as full bathrooms.  They are very installation friendly, which is nice for the do it yourselfer.
